Family Mediation
Family mediation is a voluntary, confidential process. A neutral mediator helps you and the other party talk, sort out the issues, and reach your own agreements. You keep control of the decisions.
Tennessee courts commonly require mediation in contested divorces and parenting-plan disputes. There are exceptions, including for domestic violence.
Julie does not decide, judge, or give legal advice. You are encouraged to talk with your own attorney, including before signing any agreement.

Caring for children
A parenting plan is about your children's needs: their routines, their schooling, and their time with each parent.
The Babb Center offers counseling for children and adolescents as separate support, outside of mediation.

In person
At the Babb Center, 105 Music Village Blvd, Hendersonville.
Separate rooms
Caucus or shuttle sessions, so the parties do not have to be in the same room.
When mediation may not be the right fit
Mediation may not be right when there are safety concerns, an order of protection, or when a party cannot participate freely. Victims of domestic violence are not required to mediate.
