You handle the referral.

Why a counselor-mediator
Most mediators know the law. Julie also knows what's underneath the impasse — fear, grief, coercive control, a child's needs — and has the clinical training to work with it. In mediation she uses counselor skills, not counseling.

Mediation is not counseling
Julie uses counselor skills, not counseling, in mediation, and never mediates for her own current or former counseling clients. Partner clinicians remain their clients’ clinicians, and mediation records stay separate from clinical records.
